Dangote is Nigeria’s leading cement manufacturer with a total cement capacity of 45.6mpta, 29.3mt of which is produced in Nigeria. Dangote is headquartered in Lagos and has plants in nine other African countries including Tanzania and Senegal.
Dangote’s plant in Kogi, Nigeria is the largest in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a capacity of 10.2mtpa across three lines.
Its plant in Ogun, Nigeria, opened in 2012 and cost $1bn, was installed by fellow WCA member Sinoma Engineering, and represented one of the largest non-oil investments in Nigeria.
