London, 15 March 2021 –The World Cement Association announced today it has further expanded its international network of members by welcoming Blue Planet as an Associate Corporate Member.
London, 22 February 2021 – The World Cement Association will hold a Virtual Member Forum on 10th March discussing Grinding and Milling Technologies. The Forum will feature speakers from Fives FCB, an international industrial engineering group, and Republic Cement, a building materials company operating in the Philippines.
London, 26 January 2021 – The World Cement Association has launched the Gender Focus Network, an initiative aiming to improve the representation of women within the global cement community. WCA recognises that the cement industry around the world currently has a significant gender imbalance, and has founded the Gender Focus Network (GFN) to help increase awareness and to implement practical solutions to address this issue.
London, 18 January 2021 – The World Cement Association’s Professional Committees (Safety & Health, Environment & Climate Change and Technology & Innovation) announced their goals for the global cement industry in the new year at the WCA’s 4th General Assembly Meeting in December, taking the opportunity to review progress made so far and set priorities for the year ahead.
London, 21 December 2020 - The World Cement Association announced it has appointed two new Directors: Roland van Wijnen, CEO of Africa’s PPC Ltd., and Mahendra Singhi Managing Director & CEO of India’s Dalmia Cement. The appointments were agreed in a vote at the WCA General Assembly Meeting on the 10th of December 2020.
15 December 2020 – The President of the World Cement Association (WCA), Song Zhiping, addressed an international audience of senior cement industry leaders with his keynote speech at the WCA 4th General Assembly Meeting, held virtually on December 10th.
