Ian Riley, WCA CEO, has appeared as a guest speaker on Decarb Connect's podcast series, discussing the decarbonisation of the cement industry, and steps that companies will need to take to reach net-zero, alongside the lessons that cement players can learn from other hard-to-abate sectors. 

London, 6th September 2020 –The World Cement Association announced today its Knowledge Partnership with Decarb Connect, an organisation which supports the scale and acceleration of industrial decarbonisation.

Bloomberg Quint

Ian Riley, WCA CEO has provided comment for a Bloomberg Quint article on LC3 (Limestone Calcined Clay Cements), on the impact of low carbon cements on carbon tax prices.

The World Cement Association announced today the launch of Phase I of its PEGASUS 2020 project, a multi-company benchmarking and performance-improvement initiative for WCA Corporate Members. Executives from eleven companies representing over 100 cement plants are taking part in this first stage.
